I have wanted to explore a backlit portrait for a while. I still don't have it down. Close. But just not quite there. Thanks for your patience, doll. I will give your eyes a chance to recover, but sometime we will have to try this again.

2010.01.21 Golden Delicious

Having fun exploring some of these typical 'strobist' ideas. Always looking for ways to put my own twist on it, even if is subtle. In this case, I gave the apple just a touch of 'float' by setting it on a sheet of glass and allowing the flash to pass under the base of the fruit.

The boys and Kelly are pretty sure that Dad has gone off the deep end. Standing in the dark, flashes popping every 15 seconds, water everywhere. I wonder why the boys are always into something?
