Louis Kahn said that Architecture has existence, but has no presence. Meaning that Architecture is NOT the built thing, but the process of bringing in idea into being - from Silence to Light - through study and visualization. Even so, calling manipulated photographs 'Architecture' may be a stretch - but it is helping Kelly and I to decide what colors we should paint our home. Opinions? Leave a comment!

Hyatt Regency Crown Center, designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes is reflected in the glass of 2345 Grand, designed by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe. In which is housed a firm founded by Thomas Ellerbe and Welton Becket.

Here is another spot that I will need to return to when there is no fog hanging low over the city. The gold on this spire is truly blinding in the sun - but you will just have to trust me on that for now.

2010.01.20 Tensile Structure
Not as 'on fire' about how this one turned out. There is much more color in the canopy than I was able to grab with the camera. Maybe an opportunity for a future HDR? Or an exposure blend? I will be back here. Maybe when the fog lifts.
