2010.03.05 Urban Canyon

I had a nice walk this morning through the downtown area here in Kansas City. This is a great urban canyon on 12th Street - especially at sunrise. There are three other shots from this jaunt that I will post in the future. Stay tuned.

Wow. 40 degrees feels so warm after a month of not breaking above freezing.

2010.02.28 Sunrise on Sorrows

Our Lady of Sorrows sits just East of Crown Center amongst the parking garages and office buildings. It is a remnant from an older, slower time in the midst of this fast paced area of the city.

2010.02.01 West Bottoms

I stumbled on this view while on a tour of HNTB Architecture with AIA Pillars. I guess what struck me was just how far you can see from this spot. The intent for the photo is to use the road and the lights from the cars to draw your eye to the horizon.

2010.01.26 Downtown KC

With the blue sky finally peeking through, I had to take the opportunity to get a shot of downtown from Liberty Memorial. I sprinted out of work just before the sun went down and snapped this right at dusk. Feels like a good balance of daylight and the sparkle of the lights of downtown.
